About
I received my B.A. in physics at Rice University, my M.S. in Electrical Engineering at UC Berkeley advised by Jean Walrand, and my Ph.D. in Statistics at Rice University under the direction of David Scott. My Ph.D. studies were funded by the DoE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship (CSGF). As part of the fellowship, I completed three research practica, one with Paul Spellman at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, and two under the supervision of Tamara Kolda at Sandia National Laboratories. I’m currently working with Kenneth Lange as a postdoctoral researcher in the Human Genetics department at UCLA. My research interests are in optimization problems related to statistical methodology.
